As a Social Media Assistant at TMC, you’ll support the execution of our content strategy across all platform - helping to create, schedule, and publish engaging social content that connects with our audience and reflects the heart of our brand.

Hours

This position is Full Time, Monday - Friday 8am-4pm.

Location

This position will be based at our new Head Office and our Brisbane Showroom, when required, both situated in New Farm, 4005.

The Role

As Social Media Assistant at TMC Fine Jewellers, you will support the day-to-day execution of our social media strategy, helping bring our content to life across platforms. Working closely with the broader Marketing Team, you’ll play a key role in building brand visibility, community engagement, and maintaining the polished aesthetic of our digital presence.

This role is ideal for someone with a passion for crafting an exceptional brand experience online, someone who lives and breathes social trends, has a meticulous eye for detail, and brings a proactive, can-do energy to everything they do. Our Social Media Assistant thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, is solutions-oriented, and isn’t afraid to take initiative and make things happen.

Key Responsibilities

Content Strategy & Execution

Support the development and implementation of thoughtful, trend-aware content strategies across all digital platforms, ensuring they align with brand values and campaign objectives.

Assist with planning and managing content calendars, ensuring timely rollout of high-quality content across social channels.

Posting content across all channels at required times.

Collaborative Creation

Work closely with the Head of Brand and Creative Director to bring content ideas to life - contributing to a cohesive, visually refined, and strategically aligned brand presence.

Participate in team brainstorms and campaign planning sessions, contributing creative input and supporting the execution of content shoots.

Content Production

Assist with the creation and editing of both video and static content for organic social and paid campaigns.

Prepare and format assets as required for various platforms and placements.

Copywriting & Publishing

Write and refine social captions, hashtags, and CTAs in line with our tone of voice and aesthetic.

Schedule and publish content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest and more using a combination of manual posting and approved tools.

Community Engagement

Help manage day-to-day community engagement, including monitoring comments, and tagged content across platforms.

Foster meaningful interactions with our audience, helping to deepen connection and brand loyalty.

Ad Content Coordination

Collaborate with our paid media team to help curate and deliver ad-ready content that is optimised for performance.

Monitor and report on ad content engagement to help inform future creative.

Performance Monitoring & Insights

Track and report on key social metrics, identifying what’s working and where we can improve.

Stay across emerging social trends, content formats, and platform updates - sharing relevant insights with the wider marketing team.

Campaign Alignment

Ensure all social content is cohesive and consistent across campaigns, platforms, and formats, maintaining a unified brand voice and narrative.

Who We Seek

A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline, complemented by relevant experience in the luxury sector.

Demonstrated expertise in content creation, social media strategy, and digital marketing.

Mastery of iphone videography, photography, and editing, with a keen eye for detail.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for crafting compelling narratives.

A refined aesthetic sensibility.

Strong organisational capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple projects with grace and efficiency.

A self-motivated individual who thrives in both collaborative and autonomous environments.

Proficiency with social media platforms, adobe suite (premier pro), analytics tools, and the latest digital trends.
