Are you a creative storyteller with a passion for regional tourism? Queensland Country Tourism (QCT) is seeking a dynamic Social Media and Marketing Coordinator to join our team full-time.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for crafting and managing engaging content across our consumer social media channels, running digital advertising campaigns, and supporting broader marketing and event activities. You’ll play a key role in growing our online audience and showcasing the unique experiences Queensland’s inland regions have to offer.

What You’ll Do:
Write and schedule 16+ weekly social media posts for consumer platforms.
Monitor and respond to social media community engagement.
Develop and manage digital ad campaigns (concept to publishing).
Monitor, analyse and report on social media engagement and performance.
Write creative content for consumer-facing publications and digital platforms.
Curate and manage QCT’s image and video library, including creating original photo and video content such as reels and short-form social media videos.
Assist with QCT marketing projects, events, and industry networking activities.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience managing social media content for a brand or organisation.
Excellent writing skills and creative content ideas.
Familiarity with tools like Meta Business Suite, Canva, and digital ad platforms.
A creative and proactive approach to sourcing, curating, and editing imagery and video content, including reels and short-form social media formats.
Organised, responsive, and confident working both independently and in a team.

Selection Criteria – Social Media and Marketing Coordinator
Please respond briefly to each of the following:
Demonstrated experience managing social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram) for a brand, including writing and scheduling content and monitoring engagement, outlining your experience using social media tools such as Meta Business Suite, Canva, or other scheduling/analytics platforms.
Ability to create and manage digital advertisements, including audience targeting and reporting.
Strong written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences.
Demonstrated ability to curate and manage a digital image and video library, including the creation of original visual content such as reels and short-form videos for social media and marketing use.
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
Willingness to travel occasionally to support QCT events and industry activities.
