We have a (Permanent) System Architect / Solutions Architect role available.

This requires a Customer-Focused Solutions Architect with MSP Experience.

You will be responsible for designing and positioning comprehensive IT infrastructure and managed services solutions that align with client requirements and business goals

You will play a key role in solution architecture, technical scoping, quoting, and project planning—supporting enterprise and mid-market clients across various industries

Key Responsibilities:

Solution Architecture & Design

• Design secure, scalable, and cost-effective IT solutions across network infrastructure, data centre, cloud, security, and end-user computing environments.
• Architect solutions for managed IT services, focusing on network solution design.
• Map client business goals to technical solutions and services with clear outcomes.

Pre-Sales Engagement

• Partner with account executives to identify client needs, conduct discovery sessions, and translate requirements into solution designs.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demos, and proof-of-concept discussions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Lead technical responses to RFPs, RFIs, and tenders.

Quoting & Proposal Development

• Create accurate bills of materials (BoMs) and pricing using vendor tools (e.g., Cisco CCW, HPE iQuote, Dell OME).
• Work with internal procurement and vendor teams to ensure best pricing and optimal configuration.
• Draft proposals, SOWs, and service descriptions that clearly outline deliverables, SLAs, and timelines.
• Understanding of product portfolios including M365, Azure, other cloud services

Project Management Alignment

• Coordinate with project managers to ensure proper handoff, scope validation, and delivery planning.
• Provide input for timelines, resourcing, and risk identification during the pre-sales phase.
• Support ongoing engagement during project delivery to ensure alignment with proposed architecture.

Technology Strategy & Enablement

• Maintain deep knowledge of emerging IT trends, technologies, and vendor roadmaps (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, Fortinet, AWS, Azure).
• Act as a technical advisor for clients and internal teams on best practices and strategic planning.
• Build strong relationships with key vendor partners and stay updated on certifications and solution updates.
• Familiarity with internal toolsets that can be utilised for improved efficiency in the operations space

Essential Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years in a Pre-Sales, Systems Engineering, or Solution Architecture role within the IT industry (Essential)
• Managed Service Provider Experience (Essential)
• Proven experience designing and quoting managed IT services solutions including networking, security, cloud, and managed IT services (Essential)
• Strong understanding of LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, firewalls, cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure), and remote management platforms.
• Proficiency in tools like Cisco CCW, Dell OME, HPE iQuote, and PSA platforms (e.g., ConnectWise, Autotask).
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Service Management Mindset: Familiar with ITIL-aligned service delivery models and committed to continuous improvement in solution lifecycle management within a managed services framework
• Delivery-Oriented: Willingness to engage in both high-level design and hands-on implementation
• Security and Operations Aware: Proactive in expanding expertise into adjacent domains such as SOC operations, SIEM integration, cybersecurity compliance, and IT operations tooling to enhance solution resilience and manageability
• Customer-Focused Innovation: Passionate about leveraging emerging technologies and automation to improve client outcomes, operational efficiency, and long-term solution sustainability.

Preferred Certifications:

• One or more of Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
• PMP, ITIL Foundation or higher, VMware VCP, or similar credentials
