As we continue to scale across Australia, we’re expanding our Melbourne team and seeking an experienced, driven Account Manager to take ownership of a key customer portfolio and play a strategic role in growing our footprint across the Victorian Government sector.

Your Role
As an Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing a set of existing business accounts while driving retention, satisfaction, and revenue growth. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure world-class service and seamless delivery — while identifying opportunities to increase value through upsell, cross-sell, and solution design.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and manage a portfolio of SME, mid-market, and public sector accounts in Victoria
Deliver proactive account management and high-touch relationship engagement
Conduct regular account reviews to identify risks and growth opportunities
Ensure smooth onboarding, renewal, and support processes in collaboration with technical and operations teams
Work closely with key stakeholders within government, healthcare, education, and other regulated industries to position Next Telecom as a trusted long-term partner
Leverage existing government panels and procurement pathways where applicable
Actively build networks and relationships within the Victorian Government ecosystem to drive market share
Coordinate internal bid/tender support where needed for formal procurement opportunities
Drive revenue growth across your base by identifying upsell and cross-sell potential for:
Microsoft Teams Calling & UCaaS
Hosted Voice / SIP
Fibre, NBN EE, and other high-availability connectivity
Achieve and exceed monthly KPIs, including:
Account retention and satisfaction
Revenue growth and expansion across assigned portfolio
Contribution to team new business growth in target sectors
Ensure accurate CRM reporting, activity tracking, and pipeline forecasting
What You Bring
3+ years of experience in Account Management in the Telecommunications or ICT industry
Demonstrated success in managing and growing business or government accounts
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex environments and decision-making processes
Proven ability to deliver against targets and uncover new commercial opportunities within existing accounts
Deep understanding of hosted voice, Teams Calling, connectivity solutions, and ICT service models
Experience with or exposure to Victorian Government clients or frameworks is highly desirable
Autonomous, self-motivated and highly organised with strong commercial acumen
