The must-haves:

Minimum 5 years experience in a PR agency environment, or relevant industry related experience

Well-connected in media, PR and business industry and continues to build your network within it

Proven track-record of managing tasks autonomously and take responsibility for clients, with strong attention to detail

An expert understanding of the media and social landscape at both a local and national level with well-established relationships

Deep experience in event management and ability to manage guest lists, RSVPs and create relevant assets

Very strong creative writing skills across different briefs including press releases, emails, reports, with the ability to adapt style and tone of voice as required for each client

A creative approach to ideation, PR strategies, writing, pitching, and problem solving to deliver consistent coverage outcomes

Applying critical thinking to anticipate client issues before they arise

A deep understanding of each client and their nuances, with a work and communication style that is flexible based on these nuances

Proactive and self-starting; seizes opportunities and acts upon them; Enthusiastic and committed

Cooperates and works well with others in the pursuit of team goals; collaborates and shares information proactively

Ability to manage a team to drive strong client results

Active interest of trends in food, drink, and lifestyle

Social media experience (operational and strategy)

Responsibilities:

Lead several client accounts at one time, with top line oversight of Group Account Director or Managing Director, when required

Develop and execute client strategies across traditional PR, event, and influencer relations, with top line oversight of Group Account Director or Managing Director, when required

Development of PR strategies and plans, as well as new business development proposals

Proactively and reactively manage media relations and influencer campaigns with the aim of delivering consistent positive coverage for clients

Managing clients independently and at least one Account Coordinator on each account, with top line support from Group Account Director depending on client and fees

Responsible for timely client reporting

Responsible for management of client account, including leading client WIPS, reporting key information, document preparation and ensuring minutes/notes taken and shared in a timely manner

Management and attendance at events – including door management, client management, media/blogger management and ad hoc tasks

Creating assets for client campaigns – i.e. writing media releases, pitches, photo briefs, influencer lists, invites etc with very minimal input from Group Account Director or Managing Director

Actively monitors and reports client coverage and competitor activity

Active attendance at internal meetings/brainstorm sessions

Executing administrative tasks when given

Reports directly to Group Account Director and Managing Director
