The Job

Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking an experienced Trade Store Manager to lead operations at our flagship Chermside store.

This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll oversee the daily operations of a large, fast-paced trade store servicing a diverse customer base of builders, contractors, and tradespeople. You’ll be responsible for driving sales, ensuring operational efficiency, and leading a multidisciplinary team including yard staff, trade counter sales, site administration, and delivery drivers.

With full accountability for store performance, you’ll implement strategies that enhance customer service, manage stock and logistics, maintain a strong safety culture, and support the professional growth of your team.

Skills & Experience

We are looking for a hands-on leader who brings:

5+ years’ leadership experience in a timber, trade, or building supplies environment.

In-depth knowledge of timber, hardware, and building materials.

Strong background in team leadership, coaching, and performance management.

Demonstrated success in trade customer service and relationship building.

Sound commercial understanding of budgeting, sales, stock control, and supplier negotiation.

A commitment to workplace safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.
