This is an exciting opportunity to join Anglicare WA in this rare and rewarding senior leadership role as General Manager, People Services.

Reporting to the Director, People and Culture, the General Manager, People Services leads a high performing People Services team and plays a key role in cultivating a safe, inclusive and thriving workplace culture, where people feel engaged with our purpose, aligned with our values and inspired to reach further.

People Services work in collaboration with the broader People and Culture portfolio, which includes Diversity & Inclusion, Learning & Development and Safety & Wellbeing. We are deeply committed to supporting Reconciliation, and People and Culture walk alongside the Aboriginal Engagement team in the delivery of Anglicare WA's Aboriginal Employment and Career Strategy.

People Services covers the following key areas:

Workforce planning and strategy

Talent attraction and EVP

Employee experience and engagement - from onboarding to offboarding

Remuneration and rewards

Performance development and management

Workforce issues resolution

Industrial / employee relations

Support with 'people' budgeting, payroll / wage compliance and audits

HRIS data insights and reporting

This opportunity comes at a pivotal time as we prepare to launch the Anglicare WA Strategy 2030. As General Manager, People Services you will be integral in supporting the implementation of our next five-year strategy and driving high impact people projects and initiatives to support our strategic objectives.

What you will bring

You will be a values-driven, person-centred leader, with a caring, confident and collaborative style. You’ll hold extensive generalist HR experience in a senior leadership role and have a sound understanding of working in the community services sector or not for profit sector. A comprehensive and up to date understanding of employment legislation and best practice in employee relations is essential, and experience in Enterprise Bargaining will be advantageous. You’ll be strategic, innovative, risk aware and solutions focused, with an eye on emerging HR trends, risks and opportunities. This position requires a tertiary qualification in a relevant field, or significant relevant experience.
