Little Ryrie Paediatrics is looking for a part-time, 20-25 hours per week, additional hours available in the future, Medical Receptionist to join our Paediatric Specialist Practice in Geelong. Our practice focuses on caring for children and adolescents with Developmental and Behavioural Disorders.

We are seeking applicants with a confident, warm, and helpful nature, who enjoy patient interaction and creating a positive experience for our patients at every encounter.

In this role, you will be the face of our practice and will be responsible for facilitating the flow of patients into and out of our practice. Your workload is shared between 3 part-time receptionists with a combination of face to face interaction with patients as well as telephone and email communication management. The role is onsite. There are no weekend work requirements. Opportunity for skill and employment level to progress with long term employment.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Meeting and greeting patients on arrival

Patient check-in procedures

Assisting with patient's enquiries while onsite, on the telephone and via email

Liaising with care team members, including schools and allied health practitioners

Ensure the practice and waiting areas are kept tidy

Opening and closing procedures

Booking follow up appointments

Managing billings

Scanning and document distribution

Stock management – ordering and restocking supplies

Essential Requirements:

Experience working in a GP or specialist medical care setting (at least 12 months prior experience essential)

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and sense of compassion

Display excellent attention to detail

Strong time management and multi-tasking skills

Can-do attitude

Confident with computers and new technology

Ability to job share

Ability to work at least 8-9 hour day shift Thursdays AND Fridays

And ability to work at least two half day shifts, one morning and one afternoon per week

Start Date: Early July 2025, date to be mutually agreed -immediate start available
