Responsibilities:

• Support the enhancement of a practical and effective Enterprise Risk Management Framework, along with relevant policies, guidelines, and tools to promote a consistent risk approach across the organisation.
• Manage the coordination and analysis of divisional and departmental risk reports, preparing insights and submissions for the Audit and Risk Committee to ensure appropriate oversight.
• Champion a business partnering model to foster a strong risk culture by facilitating discussions, gathering insights to shape risk appetite and profiles, and maintaining risk registers.
• Lead the delivery of risk awareness initiatives, including the development and facilitation of a Community of Practice for internal risk coordinators.
• Provide strategic advice to senior leaders and staff on emerging and ongoing risk issues to support the achievement of departmental objectives.
• Stay up to date with current risk management frameworks and systems, offering expert evaluation and guidance to support best practice and fit-for-purpose risk solutions

What you'll need to succeed:

• 5-7 years of experience in Risk Management/Compliance preferably in the Government sector
• Solid understanding of the linkage between planning and risk, compliance including managing opportunities.
• Be able to maintain a high standard of practice through a governance and risk management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
