The Real-time Network Management (RTNM) Support team focus on continuous service improvement for our customers by monitoring our Traffic Management Centre's (TMC) performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and conducting data reporting, quality checks, and audits. They also provide advice on network management services, including disruption management and traveller information.

THE ROLE:
Responsibilities of the Principal Advisor (RTNM Support) will include:
• Direct the planning and support for the operation of the state-controlled road network, managing the allocation and effectiveness of resources ensuring optimal outcomes.
• Lead the development, delivery, and evaluation of network management services, data integrity, reporting and training programs to enhance capabilities to meet the branch's strategic objectives and priorities.
• Actively support the Network Management Leadership Team with the future planning and operations of state-wide TMC's to facilitate the delivery of the branch's strategic objectives and priorities.
• Ensure effective partnerships with external stakeholders to facilitate effective and efficient management of disruptions and events and ensuring the timely and accurate information to road users and stakeholders.
• Coordinate and facilitate reporting support to the Disruptive Event Management and Transport Network Security and Resilience (TNSR) teams.
• Work collaboratively with the Strategic Network Management to provide strategic and operational advice, including operationalising policy and guidelines and identification and resolution of complex issues.
• Lead continuous improvement projects/initiatives from concept planning to implementation and collaborate with others supporting implementation.
• Represent the branch at forums and stakeholder meetings to effectively plan for and minimise the impact of disruptions/events to ensure network efficiency for road users.
MANDATORY CONDITIONS:
• The role supports real-time TMC operations, some after hours, weekend or public holiday work may be required.
• Intra-state travel is required across TMCs as determined by the business.
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
