About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join the team. In this role, you will ensure that the motor claims operations meet all regulatory obligations, including Work Health and Safety and other industry standards. You will be responsible for coordinating and implementing risk management strategies, conducting risk assessments, and driving a culture of compliance throughout the team. Knowledge and experience of Prudential Standard CPS 230: Operational Risk Management is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory & Compliance Management: Ensure the motor claims division is compliant with regulatory requirements, including WH&S, Prudential Standard CPS 230, and industry codes of practice.
- Risk Management: Collaborate with internal teams to identify and assess risks, developing mitigation plans where necessary.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of compliance activities and prepare regular reports for stakeholders and senior management.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and risk management practices.
- Training & Awareness: Organise workshops to raise awareness of compliance practices and ensure the team is well-versed in the necessary protocols.
- Program Delivery: Coordinate resources and manage tasks to ensure compliance activities are delivered on time and meet required standards.
Key Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in a compliance or risk management role within the insurance or financial services sectors.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of regulatory requirements such as WH&S, the Financial Services Reform (FSR) Act, and other industry-specific standards.
- Operational Risk Framework: In-depth knowledge and experience working with Prudential Standard CPS 230: Operational Risk Management.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience in preparing reports and presenting to senior management.
- Risk & Stakeholder Management: Experience managing risk assessments and engaging with internal teams and external regulators.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse data, identify risks, and present findings clearly to diverse stakeholders.
