Are you a natural organiser with a passion for customer service and premium food experiences? The Milawa Cheese Company is seeking an enthusiastic Retail Manager to lead our front-of-house team and help share our award-winning cheeses with visitors from near and far.

Located in the picturesque Milawa Gourmet Region, we’ve been handcrafting Australian farmhouse cheeses since 1988. As a small, independent producer, we pride ourselves on quality, hospitality, and connecting with people who love good food.

About the Role

This hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our retail store and tasting room, delivering exceptional service and driving sales.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the retail team, including rostering, training, and performance

Maintain store presentation and merchandising to reflect our premium brand

Ensure smooth daily operations – from stock management to cash handling

Create a warm and informative experience for every customer

Monitor and report on sales targets and retail KPIs

About You

You’re highly organised, attentive to detail, and love creating exceptional customer experiences. You take pride in a well-run shopfront and bring energy to your team and customers alike.

We’re looking for someone who:

Has prior experience in retail or hospitality management

Is enthusiastic about sales and meeting targets

Communicates clearly and leads by example

Is passionate about quality food and enjoys learning about cheese

Can manage time and people effectively under pressure
