The Opportunity

This is a brilliant opportunity to be the Fund Accountant for a very successful Australian funds management firm with a track record of growth and success. Joining their tight-knit team you will become part of a fast paced, dynamic and innovative environment where you will be playing a vital role in supporting the finance and fund operations team.

The Challenge

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this newly created role will be responsible for supporting the Finance and Fund Operations team.

Specifically, you key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with NAV calculation support, maintaining rolling IRR calculations and carry, as well as tracking valuations of portfolio companies
• Preparing investor reports and providing transaction support for acquisitions, disposals and investments
• Work alongside outsourced partners to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and managing an up-to-date ledger
• Support with month-end and year-end closings
• Provide compliance, tax and audit support ensuring alignment with AFSL standards
• Enhancing business practices and proactively updating financial procedures

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field with a strong academic history
• Minimum 4 years' experience in accounting support roles
• Exposure to fund accounting / investment management or experience working in an AFSL-regulated environments
• Demonstrated communication skills and ability to liaise with different stakeholders
• You are looking to embrace a culture of innovation, change and growth
