The Opportunity

We're seeking a Leading Hand to join our team in Dandenong South. This is a hands-on leadership role, where you’ll guide a small, dedicated team in our workshop.

Your Key Responsibilities

Oversee and support the day-to-day operations of the workshop

Allocate tasks, monitor quality, and ensure work is completed efficiently

Assemble, test, and troubleshoot

Diagnose issues and assist in inspections

Lead, train, and mentor team members to maintain high standards

Undertake wheelbase modifications as needed

Install parts such as tow bars, trailer brakes, and accessories

Follow job specifications to fabricate and weld components

What We're Looking For

Previous work with heavy vehicles or in a similar role.

Experience as a technician, mechanic, fabricator or welder

Proficient in fabrication techniques

Strong leadership qualities or previous experience in a similar role

A HR licence (or willingness to obtain one)

A proactive, hands-on approach and pride in doing the job right

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

A customer-focused mindset and positive team attitude
