Commercial Plumber Leading Hand – Commercial Projects (NON EBA)

We specialise in a diverse range of projects, including government, medical facilities, offices buildings, schools, and childcare centres. As a growing business, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Commercial Plumbing Leading Hand to join our dedicated team.

Our projects are primarily located in the inner city and surrounding suburbs of Melbourne.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

VBA registered or licensed plumber

Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in commercial plumbing

Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment

Strong competency in reading and interpreting plans

Ability to work independently and take initiative

Own hand tools and power tools essential for the role

Current Australian driver's licence

Valid Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card)

Excavator licence (preferred but not critical – a bonus)

Key Responsibilities:

As the Commercial Plumber Leading Hand, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

Setting out work on-site with accuracy and efficiency

Reading and interpreting RLs (reduced levels) and inverts

Overseeing above and below-ground installations, including stormwater, fire services, water mains, gas and sewer systems

Proficient use of pipe lasers and laser levels to ensure precision

Managing and coordinating staff on-site to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards

Communicating effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution

Maintaining clear and consistent project documentation and reporting
