The Role
We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Product Manager to join our operations team. You’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of trekking, cultural and active adventure trips across key international destinations. One such region will be the Himalaya, the flagship region of the World Expeditions portfolio and where the company is best recognised.
This role blends creativity with commercial acumen – you’ll be designing and refining experiences that reflect our high standards, ethical values and global reputation.
In this role, you will:
Manage, enhance and maintain a portfolio of itineraries aligned with our responsible travel ethos
Build and manage supplier relationships, ensuring quality, value and strong local partnerships
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Operations teams to field questions, while also bringing new trip ideas to life and optimize existing products
Monitor client feedback and destination developments to inform product improvements
Carry out costing, documentation, trip note updates and operational support
Contribute to sustainability and regenerative travel initiatives through contact with your local operators
Ensure the website trip pages reflect our high standards with the use of AI for optimized trip copy and USPs, evocative quality images, past client testimonials and moving map routes.
Be an active contributor in the weekly sales/ops meetings
Participate in the shared roster for managing the after-hours emergency phone, including occasional evenings and weekends, with time in lieu provided
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in adventure travel product management or operations
Strong knowledge of trekking or active travel, preferably with firsthand experience
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proven supplier negotiation and relationship management skills
Confident written and verbal communication, with strong commercial thinking
Sound knowledge of Excel and travel databases; experience with FileMaker a plus
A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset and a passion for ethical, immersive travel
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess market trends, understand competitive landscapes, and identify opportunities to strategically position World Expeditions for continued growth
Work Environment
Monday to Friday role 9-5.30
