About the role

This role is based on-site in Lithgow NSW and has a focus on the support of the Lithgow Rural Clinical School campus including student support, placements and facility management. This position works in collaboration with academic and professional colleagues to provide administrative support for the campus, under the direction of the Head of the Lithgow Rural Clinical School.
Key Responsibilities

Support the coordination and delivery of School events, particularly in respect of back to base days, student placement and accommodation.

Manage the reception and relevant general administrative roles at the Lithgow Rural Clinical School.

Assist with the preparation of the school’s budget submissions and accurately managing expenditure.

Provide administrative support in all matters pertaining to the efficient day to day administration of the School.

Provide advice to School staff members regarding business operations processes.

Provide administrative support to School committees, including the preparation of agendas and minutes.

Develop and maintain relationships and work collaboratively across all campuses of the National School and with various University departments.

Qualifications, skills & experience

A degree qualification with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or training.

Demonstrated experience in administration with advanced level of organisation skills.

Strong organisational and time management skills and attention to detail.

Demonstrated ability to interpret and provide advice on policy and procedure.

Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to converse with staff members at all levels within the organisation.

Strong attention to detail with the proven ability to prepare timely and accurate meeting agendas and minutes, business memos and reports.

Demonstrated ability to work flexibly, apply problem-solving skills and show initiative.

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

High level of competency in various software packages including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), finance systems and the ability to learn new systems and packages.

HR, finance and/or budget management experience (desirable but not essential)
