This role would suit an experienced EEN.
IMMEX is an occupational medical organisation which provides treatment and management of injured workers, pre-employment medical assessments, health surveillance, vaccination programs and health and wellbeing services.
We are one of Sydney's leading providers with 4 locations across the Sydney basin. An opportunity has arisen at our Rooty Hill clinic in the West HQ complex.
We are seeking a competent medical screener/admin assistant to share both the administrative and nursing duties with the Senior Medical Screener/Administrator. The responsibilities for this role are both administration and nursing/screening duties so you MUST have some experience in both and AHPRA Registration to be considered.
Some training may be provided at our Waterloo Clinic (near Green Square Station).
Our clinic hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.
This position will be required to perform the following clinical and administrative duties:
Gather biometric data, taking height, weight, visual testing, urinalysis.
Conduct ECG's, spirometry, audiometry, alcohol breathalyser testing, urine drug testing as required.
Assist in the treatment of injured workers
Attend to wound dressings.
Perform basic administrative/reception duties - respond to client enquiries, make appointments, print and scan medical correspondence and send reports to clients.
Process pre-employment forms and review general health questionnaires.
Liaise with treating doctors and physiotherapists
Clean, disinfect and sterilise medical instruments.
Blood collection and vaccine and medicine administering
Data entry into clinical software
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail
Ability to remain calm in a busy and sometimes stressful environment
Experience in the nurse screening requirements described above
Ability to work autonomously and within a small team environment
Computer literate
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong client focus, a 'can-do' attitude, together with the drive to make a real contribution to the continued growth of the practice.
All necessary training will be provided but you MUST have both some basic EEN and administrative experience and AHPRA Registration to perform all of the above clinical duties.
