Stoke Beach House, a boutique hostel in Manly Beach, NSW, is looking for a professional and proactive person with passion for hospitality and customer service to join our Stoke family as a General Manager . You will be responsible for providing direction and leadership to the team with oversight and action across all facets of the business and operations.

A home base for like-minded internationals looking for vibey, quality accommodation with a welcoming atmosphere. It is located 100 meters from Manly beach and 2 mins from Manly Wharf. Featuring an in-house cinema, yoga studio, bar, weekly events, live DJs, bands and guest bikes and surfboards. It’s the perfect place to retire after a day in the crystal clear ocean.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Work alongside the existing Assistant Manager to manage the day-to-day operations of the business

· Nurture and constantly improve the ‘Stoke Vibe.’

· Manage the liquor license and compliance.

· Organize and lead meetings with the team and Directors.

· Monitoring and maintaining standards of venue presentation and cleanliness.

· Update policies and procedures and assisting all team members to grow their skills.

· Human Resources tasks (posting job advertisements, interview prospects, hire new employees, contracts, provide training, maintain clear and accurate records of employees)

· Liaise with all team members including housekeeping and maintenance to address any problems, complaints or special enquiries made by guests.

· Keep stock and inventories updated and place orders as required.

· Active revenue management including managing all sales channels and OTA’S.

· Rostering

· Work alongside the accounts team to maintain proper records and payments

· Work alongside Marketing Manager to develop and deploy key marketing strategies.

· P+L oversight with the Director to ensure the business is meeting its commercial goals

Who are you?

· Hospitality and managerial experience

· You may not have some skillsets, yet you must be keen to learn and take on new challenges

· Be happy to work inconsistent hours as required to fulfill the general nature of the role

· Be able to tackle challenging situations with a smile and positive attitude

· Hold Responsible Service of Alcohol accreditation prior to the start date

· Valid Visa to work full time in Australia.

· Workload – Approx 40 hours per week (averaged over 12 months)

· Duration - Long term

· Start date- Early September 2025

· Being a hotel, the role will require attendance onsite rather than any remote working arrangements
