Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Lead Product Lead to take ownership of their SaaS platform and financial product offerings. This strategic role combines hands-on product development with leadership across design, process, compliance, and commercial functions. The successful applicant will guide a team of product professionals to execute and drive product strategy, ensuring their solutions meet customer needs while adhering to regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Ownership

• Define and communicate the vision, strategy, and roadmap for key products that deliver value to customers.
• Balance user needs, business goals, and regulatory requirements to drive product decisions.
• Identify market trends, conduct research, and analyse customer feedback to uncover pain points and growth opportunities.

Cross-functional Leadership:

• Collaborate with C-Suite executives, IT engineering, compliance, credit, operations, sales, and marketing teams to ensure alignment and successful product delivery.
• Translate complex financial and regulatory concepts into intuitive product experiences.
• Drive cross-team alignment and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of product initiatives.

Data & Compliance-Driven Execution:

• Define and monitor product KPIs, user metrics, and assess the business impact of changes.
• Partner with compliance and risk teams to ensure all features meet financial services regulations.
• Continuously test, learn, and iterate to improve product outcomes and mitigate risks.

Customer-Centric Innovation:

• Champion the voice of the customer, using insights to guide feature development and roadmap planning.
• Conduct user testing, research, and feedback sessions to validate assumptions and build trust.
• Deliver exceptional user experiences while ensuring transparency, accessibility, and security.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of product management experience within a SaaS fintech or regulated financial services environment.
• Proven project management skills, with the ability to establish agile projects, define clear roadmaps, and report on deliverables and risks.
• Experience with native SaaS platforms in the financial lending space, with an understanding of risk, compliance, or UX design for financial solutions.
• Strong knowledge of financial products and lending practices.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver products that are compliant, user-friendly, and commercially successful.
• Familiarity with financial regulations
• Experience with agile methodologies, product discovery, and customer research.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Data-driven mindset with proficiency in tools to enable fast insights and change.
• Relevant industry or tertiary qualifications.
