About the role

Spectrum Surface Treatment Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our surface treatment operations in Wangara, WA. This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of our high-quality surface treatment services. The Production Supervisor will work closely with management and be responsible for leading and motivating our production team to meet key performance targets.

What you'll be doing

Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the production team to ensure timely and accurate completion of all work orders

Monitor production processes and equipment to identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks

Analyse production data and provide regular reports to management on team performance and productivity

Implement efficient manufacturing processes and procedures to drive continuous improvement with respect to workflow and waste reduction

Provide hands-on training and development for production staff to enhance their skills and capabilities

Foster a positive, safety-focused work environment and promote a culture of quality and accountability

Collaborate with team members, including blasting, painting and steel handlers, to ensure smooth operations

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role in a protective coatings workshop environment

Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles

Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and respond quickly to changing conditions

Proficient in using production management software and data analysis tools

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, operations management, or a related field is highly desirable

AMPP Certified Coating Inspector accreditation (NACE 1 or 2) desirable

Experience in operating forklifts and overhead gantry cranes desirable
