The Opportunity
Our client is a respected Australian-owned manufacturer, supplier, and installer of specialised material handling and access machinery. They are currently seeking an experienced Service Coordinator to join their high-performing team based in Melbourne's northern suburbs.
This is a senior-level role, responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities of field-based service technicians - including electricians, fitters, and mechanics - working across Australia.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the daily schedule of technicians and allocating jobs based on availability, skill set, and location
- Receiving and processing work orders from clients via phone and email
- Booking and coordinating preventative maintenance visits
- Responding to and organising support for emergency breakdown calls
- Liaising with internal teams, clients, and technicians to ensure all jobs are completed efficiently
This is a Monday to Friday role, offering variety, fast pace, and the chance to be at the centre of a vital national service operation.

The Candidate
This role suits someone with proven experience in Service Coordination, ideally from a fast-paced technical or trade-based environment.
You might come from an electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, or similar background, where scheduling multiple jobs and coordinating mobile teams is a core part of your day.
To be successful in this role, you'll need to demonstrate:
- A strong background in service coordination or scheduling
- Confidence managing multiple technicians or field service teams
- Excellent communication skills - phone and email
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and problem-solve on the spot
- A calm and organised approach to juggling competing priorities
- Familiarity with service management systems or job scheduling software (ideal but not essential)
