The Opportunity:
We are seeking a full time, hands-on and motivated Machine Operator to join our Afternoon Shift team. Based at our Carrum Downs facility, this role plays a key part in operating production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality output. It's an excellent opportunity for an operator with experience in food production and machinery who is looking to progress to a Production Supervisor role.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate a range of production equipment including bagging machines, flow wrappers, weigh heads, printers, check weighers, and metal detectors.

Operate and monitor key production machinery such as mixers, blenders, liquid fillers, multi-head weighers, and conveyors.

Conduct routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance.

Troubleshoot minor mechanical issues in coordination with the Maintenance team.

Collaborate with the QA team to resolve production or quality issues and isolate defective materials.

Maintain production records in accordance with quality and food safety standards.

Ensure production lines are adequately resourced and production/cleaning targets are met.

Uphold hygiene and cleanliness standards in the production area.

Actively participate in OH&S initiatives and maintain safe work practices at all times.

What We’re Looking For:

Prior experience operating food manufacturing equipment.

Practical knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and GMP requirements.

Strong attention to detail with a proactive and safety-first mindset.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Clear communication skills and a willingness to learn.
