About the role

Fallow Liquor and Eatery is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team in Northbridge, WA. As a full-time Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for our customers.

What you'll be doing

Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing creative, seasonal menus

Supervise and coordinate the kitchen staff, delegating tasks and ensuring high standards of food preparation and presentation

Maintain strict control over food costs and inventory, implementing cost-saving measures where possible

Uphold and enforce all food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a safe working environment

Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, mentoring and developing junior kitchen staff

Contribute to the continuous improvement of kitchen operations and procedures

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar leadership role within a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment

Strong culinary skills and a demonstrated passion for creating innovative, flavourful dishes

Some experience in butchery and wood fired cooking

Excellent time management and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to thrive under pressure

Proven track record of effectively managing and developing kitchen teams

Thorough understanding of food safety regulations and inventory management

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively
