How you will contribute:
Reporting directly to the Office Manager, this hands on Accounts & Admin Officer role that combines finance and office administration. This is a varied and autonomous opportunity suited to someone confident managing accounts payable from end to end and who enjoys supporting a busy office. You will also work closely with new starters, assist in day-to-day operations, and ensure the office runs smoothly and professionally.
End to end duties will include but not be limited to;
- Process invoices;
- Monitor receivables and support bank and cash flow reconciliations;
- Prepare remittance advice and support Office Manager as needed;
- Answer phones, greet clients and handle incoming/outgoing mail;
- Keep kitchen, stationery, and supplies well-stocked and organised;
- Maintain filing systems and assist with general data entry and reports;
- Arrange travel, manage uniforms, coordinate training and assist with events;
- Manage project folders, office storage, and equipment readiness for site;
- Safety Management; and
- Manage onboarding for new staff, including induction packs and employee profiles.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in an end-to-end accounts payable role;
- Strong knowledge of Xero is essential;
- Construction industry background preferred, with an understanding of project trust accounts;
- A flexible, can-do attitude and ability to work autonomously;
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills;
- Excellent communication skills and a team-player mentality; and
- Certificate IV in Business Administration or JP qualification would be highly regarded.
