About the role
Iconic Construction Industries is seeking a highly motivated, well organised, detail-oriented Accounts and Admin Officer to join our team in Garbutt, Townsville, Queensland. This full-time role will be responsible for processing the company's accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices and maintenance of financial records. Also assisting with payroll, contracts and other administrative functions as required.

Your working hours will be Monday to Friday, 38hrs per week, usually 7.6hrs per day, paid weekly. Our company fosters flexibility and work life balance, so please discuss any working hour variations.
What you'll be doing
Process and manage accounts payable transactions in a timely and accurate manner
Review and verify invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies, contract terms and Government requirements
Maintain and reconcile supplier accounts and resolve discrepancies as needed
Assist in preparing payment runs and support in month-end processes and reporting.
Liaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure effective communication and resolve issues promptly.
Providing administrative support to the Director, Office Manager and Contracts Administrator as needed
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounts administration role
Strong knowledge of account processing and accounting principles
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
Proficiency in using accounting software, Xero preferred
Competent in Microsoft Suit of programs, especially Outlook, Excel and Word
the ability to gain proficiency in DropBox document control and TRAK job management software
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
A team player with the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance, or administration will be an advantage, but not mandatory
