A Leading Multinational Freight Forwarder and Logistics provider with multiple facilities in Sydney is seeking a TEMP Transport Coordinator to join their team at Horsley Park, NSW.
This position is temporary maternity leave cover Mon to Fri 8:30am - 5pm with immediate start until approximately February 2026
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Manage own workload within area of responsibility and maintain accurate records in a timely manner to meet business and customer expectations
- Assist and provide information for preparation of documentation, reporting and quotations to customers as requested and required, including liaising with internal and external providers to provide job costings
- Prepare, coordinate and follow up of cartage following customs clearance of Air, LCL, FCL and Rail shipments
- Coordinate deliveries with customers, carriers and delivery points and maintain and control customers’ status/delivery reports
- Carry out AQIS formalities ensuring legal compliance with respect to the completion of appropriate forms and paperwork, following processes and procedures, participation in audits and inspections
- Organise payment for shipping lines and forwarders’ charges to obtain the relevant delivery orders along with processing of any ACS/AQIS clearance matters
- Ensure delivery by the required deadlines and transportation means, as required by the customer to meet customer SLAs
- Coordinate cartage requirements in conjunction with internal or external service providers
- Process AQIS/ACS holds or restrictions (including customs inspections)
- Establish regular communication with customers and vendors to build and maintain professional working relationships which will benefit the business
- Prepare bill payments and liaise with document couriers
- Arrange stand-alone and import/export cartage, discuss clearance and delivery arrangements with customers and coordinate with import/export/customs staff
- Provide feedback shipment status information to Sales and Customer Service staff
- Identify areas of continuous improvement in own area of responsibility
- Adhere to the Company's Code of Conduct, and report any incidents or breaches of the Code to the relevant company contacts.
ABOUT YOU:
- Minimum 2 years local experience in similar role within Freight Forwarding
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- High attention to detail
- Strong time management and planning skills
- Cargowise1 experience (must have!)
- ICS experience (preferred)
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel in particular)
