Transport Coordinator
📍 Prestons | Immediate Start | Temp-to-Perm Potential
About the Company:
This well-established business is a national leader in third-party logistics (3PL) and distribution, partnering with some of Australia's most recognisable brands. With a strong reputation for reliability and customer service, they're known for delivering operational excellence across warehousing, transport, and supply chain solutions.
Operating from their Prestons site, the team is built on values of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. As the company experiences significant growth and expansion of product lines, they're investing in people who can grow with them and contribute to a culture of high performance.
About the Role:
We're seeking a sharp, solutions-focused Transport Coordinator to step in while the existing coordinator takes leave - with strong potential for the role to continue or evolve into a broader part-time or job-share opportunity.
- Coordinate day-to-day transport across local couriers and interstate freight
- Track and log lost/damaged in transit (DIT/GLIT) claims
- Monitor transport KPI reporting (including DIFOT) and flag service issues
- Liaise with freight providers, internal teams, and customers to resolve queries
- Manage bookings and ASN time slots for distribution centre orders
- Provide general support across both Front of House and Transport functions
About You:
You have a strong admin background, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and love keeping things organised and accurate. You're a confident communicator, quick to learn systems, and take pride in your reliability and attention to detail.
- Administration Skills: You're detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable handling multiple priorities
- Customer Service Focus: A calm, solutions-oriented communicator across email, Teams, and phone
- Industry Knowledge: Any exposure to transport, logistics, or 3PL is a bonus - but not essential
- Technical Skills: Fast typing and basic Excel skills (xlookups and pivots can be taught!)
- Attitude: You bring a proactive mindset, and you're happy to roll up your sleeves when needed
Benefits on Offer:
- Supportive team environment with hands-on training and coaching
- Genuine opportunity for the role to extend or become ongoing
- Exposure to national-level logistics operations
- Prestons location - parking available
- Be part of a company where people love what they do and take pride in delivering results
If you're reliable, thrive under pressure, and have a passion for logistics and system management, we'd love to hear from you!
How to Apply:
Submit your resume in Word format along with a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience.
Join our team and be part of our client's exciting, fast-paced environment where your contributions will be recognised!
