Safety Coordinator

About the role:

Our client, an industry leader in the Western Sydney region, is urgently seeking a Safety Coordinator for a 6-month part-time temporary role, with the potential for permanent employment. They are a global leader in fluid handling, metering, filtration, and control solutions for the petrochemical industry.
This part-time role requires 25 hours per week, spread across Monday to Thursday. The primary responsibility is to offer safety advice and maintain a safe working environment in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop strategies, lead, and manage an effective WHS committee, ensuring compliance and the implementation of best practices.
• Evaluate safety performance, provide recommendations, and lead continuous improvement efforts.
• Lead and contribute to safety communication meetings and oversee all safety incident investigations.
• Regular reporting (monthly).
• Ensuring and maintaining effective standards for safety onboarding and induction.

Skills and experience:

• Previous experience in a safety role, within the manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of Health and Safety best practices and legislation.
• Positive, can-do attitude!
• Familiarity with systems such as: Enable on is advantageous, not required.
• Relevant certificates.
