About the Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our Sydney team for a temporary assignment.

An opportunity has become available for a temporary Operations / Logistics Coordinator to join our Wetherill Park branch for approximately five weeks, commencing Monday, 30th June. This role is crucial for covering a period of annual leave and ensuring the seamless daily functioning of our Sydney operations.

This is a hands-on role with a mix of office-based and on-the-ground responsibilities. You will be responsible for ensuring our fleet is utilised effectively and that our customer commitments are met without interruption.

Key Responsibilities:

Proactively seek and schedule loads for our Sydney-based fleet.

Organise and coordinate daily local deliveries and freight movements.

Provide clear direction and guidance to our yard staff and team of contractors.

Ensure all operational activities comply with company policies and road transport legislation.

Maintain accurate and timely records of all bookings and manifests.

Liaise with customers to ensure their requirements are understood and serviced effectively.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a mature and reliable individual who can think on your feet and make sound decisions under pressure. You will have:

Proven experience in a similar transport operations or logistics coordination role.

A strong understanding of the road transport industry.

Excellent communication and people management skills.

A strong commitment to safety and compliance (OH&S and Chain of Responsibility).

The ability to work independently and take initiative.

Experience with transport management systems (experience with F2020 is advantageous but not essential).
