About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Bookkeeper to join our team in the Gold Coast Queensland. This part-time role with negotiable hours (weekdays), it is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual to contribute to the success of our growing company. We are a bookkeeping business based in the Gold Coast offering end-to-end bookkeeping, payroll and BAS to clients in a variety of different industries and locations Australia wide.

What you'll be doing

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and GST reporting

Preparing monthly and weekly reports for client

Payroll preparation and processing

Providing administrative support to clients, such as processing payroll and managing employee expense reimbursements

Assisting with the preparation of tax returns and other compliance requirements

Collaborating with external accountants to ensure efficient and effective bookkeeping practices

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, preferably within a small practice or accounting firm

Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, accounting software (such as MYOB or Xero), and tax compliance requirements

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

Experience with payroll processing

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel

Excellent communication and customer service skills

A team player with the ability to work independently
