As a dedicated and results-driven Shift Manager at McDonald’s, I take pride in leading high-performing teams to deliver exceptional results across Quality, Service, Cleanliness & Value (QSC&V), sales, people development, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership & Customer Experience

Lead shift operations to consistently deliver an outstanding customer experience aligned with McDonald’s brand standards.

Engage and motivate crew members and fellow managers to maintain a positive, productive, and customer-focused environment.

Ensure all procedures and standards are adhered to, promoting a seamless and efficient restaurant operation on every shift.

Foster memorable customer interactions through proactive service, adaptability, and attention to detail.

Safety, Security & Compliance

Uphold McDonald’s safety and security protocols by investigating incidents and taking corrective action to maintain a safe workplace for both employees and customers.

Escalate safety or compliance concerns to the Restaurant Manager when necessary, ensuring all issues are addressed promptly and effectively.

Profit & Financial Accountability

Take ownership of shift performance and contribute to the restaurant’s ongoing profitability.

Monitor and manage inventory, labour, and cash control in line with McDonald’s policies to drive cost efficiency and sustainable growth.

Maintain strict adherence to all cash handling procedures and financial reporting requirements.

Quality, Service, Cleanliness & Value (QSC&V)

Continuously adapt to evolving customer needs, striving to exceed expectations through exceptional food safety, cleanliness, and service.

Ensure compliance with all McDonald’s and government food safety regulations.

Oversee daily and preventative maintenance of restaurant equipment to ensure optimal performance and hygiene standards.

Sales Growth & Marketing Execution

Actively seek and respond to customer feedback to enhance the guest experience and encourage repeat business.

Implement and communicate local and national marketing initiatives, aligning team efforts with sales objectives.

Review guest counts and sales data regularly to ensure shift outcomes support overall restaurant goals.

Team Development & Communication

Lead by example in promoting a respectful, inclusive and compliant workplace culture.

Communicate effectively across all levels to ensure clarity, accountability, and collaboration between shifts.

Support the development of team members by coaching, delivering constructive feedback, and providing input into performance reviews and career development plans.
