The Role
The Manager Social Enterprises holds a pivotal leadership position, responsible for planning, coordinating, and expanding the community service program area’s revenue-generating activities, community support initiatives, and donation streams.
The Manager leads daily operations, provides strategic oversight, and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, volunteers, and stakeholders to achieve service excellence, sustainability, and positive community impact.
This role demands exceptional time management, relationship-building skills, and a strong passion for social enterprise and community wellbeing.
This role oversees the operations of Communities at Work’s Op shop, manages community pantries and centres, and builds strategic relationships to enhance donations of goods, food, and financial support, ensuring the organisation's sustainability and the community's reliance on its services.

What We Need from You
A relevant qualification or substantial experience within the community services/retail/ social enterprise industry
Demonstrated experience in managing multiple programs, social enterprise, retail, community services or similar operational environments.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing staff and volunteers.
Demonstrated management skills over multiple programs and the ability to lead with influence
Stakeholder engagement skills including relationship building and maintaining
Demonstrated business skills (e.g. in retail)
Understanding of Governance, Risk and Compliance frameworks
Strong written, verbal communication and ICT skills
Knowledge of donation logistics and working with vulnerable communities.
Maintain current “Working with Vulnerable People” registration with NDIS Worker Screening
Current drivers' licence
