About the role
Orthopaedics ACT is seeking an experienced and proactive Finance Officer / Project Manager to join our team in Phillip.
This full-time position combines high-quality financial management responsibilities with project coordination for strategic initiatives involving collaboration with external stakeholders and real estate awareness.
What you'll be doing
Manage day-to-day financial operations, including:
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Payroll processing
- Bank and account reconciliations
- Financial reporting
Assist in financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and preparation of financial statements
-Provide investment-related analysis and contribute to long-term financial planning
- Liaising with external stakeholders and partner organisations
- Organising and facilitating online meetings and collaborative sessions
- Supporting initiatives related to business expansion and real estate management
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations
Work closely with the management team to provide financial insight and operational support
- Preparing documentation, summaries, and project reports for executive review
- Tracking project timelines, deliverables, and risks to ensure alignment with strategic goals
- Supporting initiatives related to business expansion and real estate management, including lease reviews, tenancy negotiations, site assessments, and communication with landlords, property managers, and planning authorities
- Organising and facilitating online meetings, briefings, and project updates with internal and external participants
- Liaising with external stakeholders and partner organisations to support collaborative business initiatives
What we're looking for
At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar finance, accounting or a related role
Demonstrated experience in financial and investment planning
Exposure to or awareness of real estate and property management processes (highly regarded)
Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to manage meetings, timelines, and stakeholder communication
Proficiency with MYOB and spreadsheet applications (e.g. Microsoft Excel)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, business, or a related field
