Capital Pathology is a quality driven pathology service provider, focusing on professional excellence, reliability, excellent customer service and business integrity. Our main laboratory is based in Deakin, Canberra and we can provide employees with the opportunity to become part of an Australian wide medical testing laboratory network focused on leadership and expert advice. We provide services to medical practitioners, private hospitals and aged care facilities in both the ACT and regional surrounds (Southern Tablelands, Snowy Mountains and South Coast NSW).

The Opportunity

We have a full time position available for a self-motivated and energetic leader who is passionate about providing exceptional customer service. We are looking for dedicated individuals who can interact well with people, demonstrate high level verbal and written communication skills, and have a passion for delivering quality outcomes for customers and the organisation.

Day to Day duties include:

Promote and Display our values at all times

Assist the Supervisor in the day-to-day operations of the Courier Department.

Supervision and mentoring of staff, training and rostering of staff

Fleet operation and maintenance

Troubleshooting and liaising with other departments to ensure the Courier department continues to provide a high quality service delivery to all clients

Picking up routine and urgent specimens

Applicants should possess the following:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to problem solve and be flexible with hours of work.

A positive attitude in relation to working in a team environment and providing exceptional customer service

Be enthusiastic about supervising people and teams in a rapidly changing environment

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Attention to detail and good time management skills

You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen, or hold a valid visa with permission to work

Flexibility is required as this position involves working early morning, day, evening shifts, as well as on-call after hours and on weekends.

To be considered for this position, experience working in a customer service or healthcare environment and/or experience in rostering and training of staff would be beneficial.
