About the Role
The Accounts Receivable Officer plays a key role in supporting the finance team by ensuring timely and accurate management of customer accounts, processing payments received, and maintaining positive customer relationships. This role will work closely with the Accountant and other departments to ensure efficient and accurate receivables processes that support the company's cash flow and customer service objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Timely allocation and receipting of customer payments in the accounting system
Monitor and manage the Accounts Receivable ledger including following up on overdue accounts
Respond to customer account queries promptly and professionally
Maintain accurate customer records and update contact information as required
Prepare and distribute customer statements
Assist in the resolution of disputed invoices or payments
Liaise with Customer Service, Project Team and Sales teams on account issues
Assist with the preparation of AR-related reporting for month-end and audit purposes
Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance receivables operations
Other finance team support and admin tasks as required
Assist the Accountant/Office Manager with office purchases
Required Skills & Experience
Experience in an Accounts Receivable or similar finance role
Experience with NetSuite (or similar ERP system) preferred
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative
