ABOUT THE COMPANY
My client is a locally owned, design-driven supplier and installer of premium architectural facade systems used in commercial, civic, educational, and high-end residential projects.
They work closely with architects, builders, developers, and facade consultants, providing custom metal cladding solutions that deliver both aesthetic and performance outcomes. Their systems include zinc, copper, and aluminium cladding across flatlock, interlock, shingle, and standing seam formats.
They’re experienced, practical, and focused on doing things properly. This isn’t a volume-based supplier—it’s a hands-on team that takes pride in delivering technically excellent, visually stunning building envelopes.
THE ROLE
This is a business development role focused on building strong relationships with architects, builders, and developers across Melbourne and surrounds. Your mission is to get your product specified early, track the project through to award, and work alongside the internal team to see it through to delivery.
You’ll be active in the market—meeting with clients, identifying upcoming projects, educating specifiers on product capabilities, and building trust.
A typical week might include:
Visiting architecture firms to present facade systems and samples
Meeting a builder on site to discuss technical requirements
Preparing or reviewing a quote for a multi-storey residential project
Following up on specifications and managing the tender pipeline
Working with estimators and project managers to confirm materials and timelines
Collaborating with the internal team on shop drawings and delivery schedules
You’ll have a blend of new business development and account management—with plenty of room to grow your network and make your mark.
WHAT THEY SELL
You’ll be representing a well-respected supplier of high-end facade systems, including:
Custom cladding in zinc, copper, and aluminium
Flatlock, interlock, standing seam & shingle profiles
Full system solutions from design to install
In-house fabrication, installation, and technical support
These are premium architectural products—solutions that get designed into projects early and require a consultative sales approach.
THE ABOUT
We’re looking for a sales professional who understands the design and construction process. You’re comfortable talking to architects and builders, and you know how to follow a project from concept through to construction.
Ideally, you’ll have:
Experience selling facade systems, cladding, building envelopes or construction materials
An existing network in the commercial construction or architectural space
Confidence presenting to architects and reading project specs
A proactive approach—you know how to spot and chase opportunities
Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail on project delivery
Whether you come from a facade background or a related product space, what matters most is your ability to communicate with both technical and creative stakeholders.
SALARY & BENEFITS
BASE $105,000 – $135,000 + Super + Car or Allowance + Commission
