About the Opportunity
A leading manufacturer and innovator in water systems is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in Victoria, with a focus on solar pump solutions. This is a strategic role for a professional who understands the intersection of renewable energy and water management, and who is motivated by building partnerships across the agricultural, commercial, and industrial sectors.
Role Overview
Identify and develop new business opportunities for solar pump systems across Victoria.
Engage with key stakeholders in agriculture, irrigation, rural water supply, and commercial sectors to understand their operational needs and deliver tailored solar pumping solutions.
Manage the full sales cycle: from lead generation and technical presentations, through to negotiation and closing.
Collaborate with technical and product teams to ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose and meet client requirements.
Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes impacting solar water pumping and renewable energy adoption.
Represent the business at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums.
What You Bring
Demonstrated experience in business development or technical sales, ideally within the water, irrigation, or renewable energy sectors.
Strong understanding of solar pumping technology and its application in remote or off-grid environments.
Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with clients ranging from farmers to commercial project managers.
Technical aptitude to communicate system features, such as high-flow solar pump packages, robust motor and controller technologies, and modular installation options28.
Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working autonomously across a large territory.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel throughout Victoria.

Base salary of $110k - $130k
Super at 11.5%
