Our client is a high profile government department that is involved in administering tax regulations / collection and a range of services, including home owner grants etc
They are embarking on a digital transformation and evolving to a Product Based Operating Model.
Role Description:
The Enterprise Technology Architect will be primarily responsible for ensuring technology selections are fit for purpose to provide the department with strategically aligned digital capabilities for their new operating model
They will also be responsible for collaboratively arriving at solution designs that provide value for money, sustainability, supportability, reusability and rapid delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Be instrumental in supporting the development of the department's digital technology roadmap
- Create an architectural framework that embodies the key principles of their future operational state to support technology prioritisation and investment in digital, data and technology solutions
- Help evaluate and select fit for purpose technologies.
- Lead a team of skilled professionals to implement data, integration and low code PaaS technologies that integrate enterprise and specialised revenue management systems
- Establish a range of solution patterns for reuse within the program
- Work with delivery teams to apply the government design methods.
- Provide progress reports as directed.
- Other duties as required
Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills, high levels of integrity and ability to build trusted relationships.
- Able to motivate teams, align on goals and influence executive stakeholders and technologists alike.
- Degree in a computing / digital / information technology field, with a strong proficiency in frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman or the Australian Government Architecture Framework.
- Experience in a wide range of Government programs with a large digital component – either at the State or Federal level
- Extensive knowledge of technical enterprise architecture and it's development and application in governments
- Demonstrated significant experience in the development of architecture frameworks, principles and roadmaps
- A strong and recent background in cloud based composable architecture using restful APIs
- Highly effective communicator with the ability to produce high quality products
- The ability to craft strategic documents and artefacts a range of audiences to inform and influence material decisions
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to analyse and unravel complex technology problems and provide viable options
