About The role
Are you a forward-thinking Technical Analyst with a passion for exploring innovative technologies? At WA Primary Health Alliance (WAPHA), we are looking for a dynamic individual to drive research and analysis across integrations, apps, cloud solutions, data, cyber security, and artificial intelligence. You will play a key role in shaping digital advancements that benefit WAPHA and its stakeholders.
As part of our Digital Services team, you will conduct business and technical analysis, facilitating meaningful conversations with stakeholders and delivering insightful reports that shape decision-making. You'll also contribute to ongoing initiatives in Planning and Architecture and Information Systems Management, working alongside a talented team of professionals dedicated to supporting better health outcomes across Western Australia.
🔹Employment Type: Full-time Maximum term contract for 2 years (Possibility of extension)
🔹 Location: WAPHA Head Office, Level 2, 1 Hood Street, Subiaco (Hybrid role)
🔹 Salary: Band 4 ($87k -$91k Plus 11.5% Superannuation)
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Research, identify and analyse emerging technologies with potential benefits for WAPHA and its stakeholders.
- Collaborate with senior team members of projects within Planning and Architecture and across our Digital Services and business teams.
- Prepare and present reports, analysis and related documentation internal stakeholders.
- Actively participate in planning sessions, team meetings and workshops.

You have a keen analytical mindset and a strong understanding of emerging digital trends, particularly in integrations, cloud solutions, data security and AI. Your ability to translate technical complexities into actionable insights makes you a trusted advisor to stakeholders.
You enjoy working collaboratively, but you're also highly independent in your research and analysis. You embrace challenges with curiosity, leveraging both technical expertise and strategic thinking to deliver impactful solutions.
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following selection criteria:
Essential experience and education
- Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, computer science, or a related discipline.
- Equivalent industry certifications or qualifications such as BABoK, IIBA CBDA, or PBA are also accepted.
- Demonstrated experience in technical or business analysis within a digital or IT environment.
- Proven ability to research, assess, and evaluate technical systems, processes, and data.
- Experience translating business needs into technical requirements and documentation.
- Strong understanding of digital tools, platforms, and system integration practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Previous experience with Microsoft platforms and solutions such as Azure Cloud Services, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Entra ID, Power Platform and PowerBI.
Additional highly desirable skills
- Experience working in Agile environments or familiarity with DevOps methodologies.
- Familiarity with languages like Python, SQL, or JavaScript for automation and data analysis.
- Training and certifications related to Cloud services (incl. Azure).
- Understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards.
- Exposure to AI driven tools and automation processes.

We are a planning and Commissioning body dedicated to building a robust and patient centred primary health and social care system to ensure improved health equity for all West Australians.
In early 2015 the Commonwealth Government awarded WAPHA the contract to operate WA’s three Primary Health Networks (PHNS) – Perth North , Perth South and Country WA.
The two key functions of the PHNs, which align with WAPHA’s vision, are:

Improve coordination of care to ensure patients receive the right care in the right place at the right time.
