Six Degrees is currently partnering with a major Queensland Government program in the recruitment of multiple brand newly created AO4 and AO6 Human Resources positions. These positions are part of a dynamic operational workforce delivering vital services across Queensland.

• AO4 HR Data and Systems Support Officer

You will join a collaborative and high-performing team environment where no two days look the same. These roles are best suited to HR professionals who can confidently work across a broad generalist portfolio and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates with previous Queensland Government/Public Sector HR or recruitment experience are highly regarded, though candidates from private sector will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide operational support and advice across a range of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, case management, workforce planning and return-to-work coordination, employee relations and industrial relations activities
• Deliver generalist HR support to leaders and staff, ensuring alignment with current public sector HR frameworks and best practice
• Support internal hiring and onboarding processes, including candidate screening, compliance checks and documentation
• Assist in case management and employee relations matters, providing accurate and confidential advice where needed
• Coordinate HR data reporting and documentation, contributing to workforce analytics, planning and decision-making
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of HR processes and initiatives
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to deliver people-focused outcomes, working collaboratively across business units
• Prepare HR correspondence, reports and briefings to support internal and external communications

Required Skillsets:

• HR Generalist Experience: Proven experience in a similar HR or recruitment role, ideally within government or a large-scale, process-driven environment
• System Proficiency: Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, SharePoint), and experience with HRIS platforms such as Aurion or Springboard highly regarded
• Strong Communicator: Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business, with strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
• Highly Organised: Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and professionalism
• Team-Fit: Friendly, approachable, and solutions-focused — a positive and adaptable attitude is essential
