Business is going well, and to support our ambitious growth we have an opening for an Accounts Officer to join the team located at the Head Office in Melbourne CBD.
This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified accounting professional looking for a great opportunity in a dynamic environment.
About the Role
The role requires someone who is self-motivated to learn and contribute to a growing business. It will involve initiative and operating with a level of energy and pace to deliver on the timely processing and management of our customer and supplier records. The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include:
Customer Invoicing, Statements and queries in a timely manner
Management of Cashflow forecasting and Collections.
Oversight of Trust Accounting functions to learn the basics to backfill overflow of activity and support
Some supplier payments and record keeping, and;
Contribution to other finance projects from time to time such as General Ledger reconciliations, preparation of Quarterly Business Activity Statement, etc
About You
To succeed in this role, you will love working in a small, dynamic and agile team. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following experience and attributes:
Advanced Diploma or Degree qualification in Accounting or Commerce.
Good knowledge of accounting concepts and principles.
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills – Excel essential.
Ability to adhere to strict timelines and adapt in an agile environment
Good communication skills – both written and verbal
Great belief in customer centricity.
Problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement
Experience in Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce highly regarded.
Adaptable to learning new software systems.
Easy to work with and wants to have fun at work.
The successful applicant will also need to return a satisfactory National Criminal History Check, have the right to work in Australia and provide references (if and when required.).
