Receptionist

South Melbourne Maxillofacial Surgery are seeking a highly motivated, confident, and committed Receptionist to join our dedicated team.

You will be responsible for the day to day running of the practice and oversee the operational aspects of the clinic. You will work alongside owner and surgeon Dr Lisa Crighton, an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, who has over 20 years’ experience. You will be part of a highly experienced and established team of two OSA’s and a receptionist. Together, you will provide exceptional patient-focused care during our patient’s journey from consultation through to treatment.

This position will be part-time (30 hours) over a 3-day working week. Location of work will be in South Melbourne.

Reports to: Owner and surgeon – Dr Lisa Crighton Skills and experience:

- Strong communication skills - written and verbal

- Possess excellent attention to detail

- Ability to work unsupervised and independently

- An exceptional ability to stay organised and be able to prioritise tasks

- Experience in Genie software preferred, but not essential

Responsibilities:

Administration duties, including but not limited to:

- Email and phone call management

- Diary management including consults, local and general anaesthetic procedure bookings

- Patient accounts, including Medicare, Private Health, DVA

- Organising and manage theatre bookings including liaising with hospitals and anaesthetists

- Manage all patient correspondence, reports, letters and referrals and maintaining accurate patient records
