Our client, a large Federal Government Department located in Canberra is seeking to engage 2 X Change Managers for a long-term contract.
Key duties and responsibilities
- The primary focus of the role will be providing relevant strategic and operational assistance to the Change Lead in supporting the delivery of agreed milestones and strategic benefits for the Program;
- The role will have a responsibility to engage and communicate widely, both across the business, and with a range of external stakeholders. Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills are essential;
- Success for this role will rely on the individual’s ability to deliver high quality work in a fast paced and dynamic environment, be resourceful and find creative solutions to multifaceted problems, and communicate complex messages to a broad audience in a clear and simple manner. A good cultural fit will also be important.
To be successful in this role, the Change Advisor will be able to demonstrate skills and/or experience in the following:
- Implementing change with experience as a change manager, manager, mentor, advisor and / or educator, capable of working across both the strategic and operational levels;
- Ability to analyse complex situations, provide strategic advice and offer change solutions and support to business managers and project managers;
- Experience introducing change successfully for both internal and external stakeholders, particularly in a regulatory environment;
- Experience in the creation and distribution of professional change and communications artefacts including email, user guides, FAQs, instructional videos, etc;
- Work with working groups and senior stakeholders to align change activities to the business and project schedules;
- Assist in the transition of new processes to business as usual.
Essential criteria
- 3+ years working in Change Management roles;
- Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to deliver on key programme milestones
- Strong communication, liaison, negotiation and conflict resolution skills;
- Proven experience in supporting people through change using change management techniques as applicable to the situation. Strong emphasis on exercising professional judgement and not just applying a methodology;
- Relevant qualifications and / or industry certification and experience using the Department’s preferred change methodology, Prosci;
- Understand Agile project delivery framework and have experience in managing change within an Agile project or Program;
- Experience working with Program Managers and Product Owners translating technical requirements into business processes.
