- VPS Grade 6: $138,631 - $185,518 per annum plus superannuation.
The Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS) is seeking an experienced Principal Business Analyst to provide a critical role within Corporate Governance and Infrastructure.
About the Business Unit
The Corporate Services and Infrastructure (CSI) group manages the governance and delivery of major infrastructure through the Community Safety Building Authority (CSBA), and technology projects through Technology Solutions and Data Security (TSDS).
Reporting to the Director, Project Management, the Principal Business Analyst works with CSI, CSBA, TSDS and broader departmental and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement in program delivery, developing and implementing strategic solutions, frameworks and supporting processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and outcomes.
About the Role
The role is responsible for leading a team and works on a variety of projects including with stakeholders across DJCS and its statutory agencies to undertake system-wide analysis to support infrastructure planning across a rolling 10-year horizon and to develop business cases for infrastructure projects. The Principal Business Analyst also provides authoritative review and advice on infrastructure and strategic planning related documents, policies, business cases and strategies, and supports project deliverers with project management advice and expertise.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Project development expertise, with demonstrated experience in gathering key inputs to develop robust business cases for projects; including an ability to ensure alignment to an evolving policy and strategic framework.
- Demonstrated understanding of project management in the construction and or technology sector and ability to identify and implement business process improvements across the project lifecycle.
- Relevant qualification (e.g. tertiary qualification in policy, economics or business-related discipline) or equivalent experience is desirable.
