As the business continues to grow, they are seeking a dynamic and commercially-minded Business Analyst to join their finance team and help drive data-led decision making.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a pivotal role responsible for financial modelling, reporting, and process improvement across various business functions. You will work closely with stakeholders across operations, estimating, quality, and inventory to analyse performance, improve systems, and support strategic initiatives. This role also offers the opportunity to step up and cover CFO responsibilities during leave periods, providing further professional development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivering insightful financial modelling, analysis, and forecasting to support strategic and operational decisions
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to improve commercial outcomes and reporting accuracy
- Conducting job cost analysis including estimates vs actuals and margin analysis
- Managing purchasing insights, inventory tracking, and cost reduction strategies across suppliers
- Leading initiatives to automate reporting and enhance systems and processes
- Assisting with the preparation and analysis of monthly management reports and board packs
- Supporting budgeting processes and identifying opportunities for cost control
- Providing commercial input on strategic planning and investment initiatives
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- CA or CPA qualification is essential
- 2–5 years’ experience in a business analyst, finance, or commercial analyst role
- Proven capability in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
- Advanced Excel skills (experience with Power BI and Aroflo is a bonus)
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly with non-finance teams
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality insights
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and systems thinking
- Experience in inventory, job costing, or procurement analysis highly regarded.
