Our client is a national company that partners with real estate agencies to make homes safer and compliance simpler for landlords. As such, they are expanding their Sydney team and we are on the hunt for a Business Development Manager to build and nurture relationships with a portfolio of EXISTING + NEW clients. This is not an office bound job, you will be out and about 50% of the time meeting with your clients who are property managers and principals of real estate businesses.

The Position
As the Business Development Manager, you will meet with potential customers (real estate businesses), leverage partner and provider relationships, work closely with industry bodies and provide valuable advice and solutions to your market:
- Seeking out new clients (Principals/Department Heads & Senior Property Managers) using an established database and prospect pool, as well as your own independent and innovative lead generation channels.
- Arrange meetings with prospective clients to present their unique safety & compliance solutions.
- Effectively onboard new clients following their onboarding process through their custom-built compliance platform.
- Calling clients to touch base and build relationships, organise, and attend client lunches, meetings, and client industry networking events
- This role requires you to be in contact with clients and prospects in person, over the telephone, by email and on social media daily. If you prefer to do business in person, you'll have the opportunity to meet people face-to-face or alternatively, through Zoom/Teams Meetings
The Person
- To succeed in the role of Business Development Manager, you will be hungry, driven, and motivated to succeed. You will be a quick on your feet, a natural relationship builder
- Ideally have previous experience in Property Manager/Senior Property Manager/New Business Consultant/Leasing Executive or a Sales Assistant/Sales Associate.
- Experience in business development or sales within the real estate industry is highly regarded.
- You will be extremely self-motivated with a hunger to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- A people person who loves building interpersonal relationships with people from all walks of life.
- The ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong presentation, and analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and comfortable with the administrative aspects of onboarding new clients.
- Comfortable using a variety of bespoke applications and databases.
