NSW Timber and Hardware is seeking a skilled Inventory Analyst / Procurement Officer to join our Minto-based team. This is a hands-on role for a data-driven professional who thrives on accuracy, forward planning, and strategic purchasing. You’ll analyse inventory trends, forecast requirements, and ensure the right stock is on hand — exactly when it’s needed.

What You’ll Be Doing:

🔍 Inventory Analysis & Forecasting

Analyse historical data, seasonality, and usage trends to forecast future stock requirements

Identify patterns that influence demand and use this insight to anticipate procurement needs

Maintain accurate stock level reporting to support operational planning and cost control

🛒 Procurement & Purchasing

Translate forecasted demand into timely and cost-effective purchasing decisions

Raise purchase orders and manage supplier communication to ensure continuity of supply

Monitor lead times, supplier performance, and order accuracy to mitigate stockouts and overstocking

Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to adjust orders in line with changing business needs

📦 Stock Control & Integrity

Conduct cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and maintain system accuracy

Ensure that inventory data in ERP systems reflects real-time stock positions

Support the warehouse team with stock location optimisation and movement tracking

🤝 Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

Work closely with internal stakeholders to align inventory and procurement strategies with operational goals

Recommend and implement improvements to stock control and purchasing processes

Support digital transformation initiatives including ERP enhancements and reporting automation
