The Opportunity
With increased sales and a healthy order bank we are currently looking for a full time experienced Client Coordinator in Pre-Construction. You will have strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly via all communication channels (face to face, email and over the phone). You’ll be energetic, dedicated and have an eye for detail.
Reporting directly to our General Manager, as a Client Coordinator in Pre Construction your primary focus will be to take control of the customer experience from the Sales team and be the client’s liaison, delivering an exceptional building journey for our clients until Site Construction commencement.
This is a client facing role and in keeping with the outstanding reputation of the business you must have exceptional customer service skills. This will include ensuring the client is informed of timelines and thoroughly understands the process from beginning to end. You should be skilled at explaining things to clients who may not understand construction, and who will at times need reassurance and guidance.
Some key responsibilities of this role include:
Co-ordinating and ordering all preliminary reports including management of costs and issuing purchase orders.
Co-ordinating the preparation of preliminary construction documentation including plans, specifications, energy rating and colour and electrical documentation.
Coordinating the preparation of the final construction documentation including plans, specifications, engineering, and contract pricing.
Preparation of the building contract including checking quality of documentation and that all client requirements have been included.
Preparation of all documentation and applying for building permits, insurance, asset protection and water authority approval.
Preparation and co-ordination of all pre-construction variations including obtaining management approval.
What you will bring to our Business:
Ideally, we are looking for someone who:
Is customer service focused and committed to providing exceptional customer service and communication.
Has worked in the Residential Building Industry for at least 1 year and has a minimum 2 years’ experience in customer service roles.
Has a good working knowledge of the design and construction process in Residential Construction, and the Residential Construction Industry as a whole.
Has a professional and confident manner and a positive approach to change.
Shows initiative and does what is required to get job done and commits energy and drive to see that goals are achieved
Has demonstrated attention to detail with meticulous time management and organisation skills.
Has strong IT/administration skills and a good understanding of Microsoft Office 365.
And just as importantly, an eagerness to learn and be a part of a supportive team, actively listens and work collaboratively and operates as an effective team member.
