About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and results driven Junior Consultant (Customer Success) to join our Advisory Services team. In this newly created, client-facing role, you will serve as the first point of contact for our Total Care clients, coordinating the end to end delivery of GS1 Services that will support them to effectively maintain and share their Product Master Data, Pricing Data, and Product Images with their trading partners.
Onboarding new Total Care clients is a key part of the role, and you will be responsible for ensuring each engagement begins with a smooth and professional experience. Once onboarded, you will work closely with internal teams to coordinate activities such as data validation, analytical reviews, data quality reporting, and ongoing data maintenance. You will also work hands-on with client data, so experience with complex data sets is essential to enable you to identify issues, extract insights, and help clients improve the accuracy of their data before sharing it with trading partners.
Involvement in early-stage client discussions also form part of your role, and at times you will work closely with the sales team to provide pre-sales support that strengthens engagement, ensuring clients understand the value of our capabilities from the outset.
What you'll need to be successful:
While guidance and support will be provided, we are looking for candidates who have the confidence to hit the ground running and work independently with Total Care clients from the outset. A professional approach and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to analyse and interpret complex data sets, supported by strong Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
In addition, we are seeking candidates who possess the following:
- Strong problem-solving capabilities, with the demonstrated ability to effectively identify and interpret client needs.
- Proven skills in triaging and prioritising client needs based on urgency and impact.
- A sound understanding of project and change management principles to support structured service delivery and smooth transitions.
- A professional and collaborative approach to coordinating effectively with clients and internal teams to ensure alignment, clear communication, and seamless delivery of outcomes.
- A meticulous approach to data handling, ensuring accuracy and consistency at all times.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage effectively across all stakeholder levels and a clear understanding of how to tailor messaging to different audiences.
- Experience creating structured documentation, including procedures, quick reference guides or similar.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Candidates with experience in the FMCG sector, particularly in category management or data/product management roles, will be highly regarded.
We follow a hybrid work model of three days in the office and two days remote and when required to work from a client site, this will count toward your in-office days. All clients are based within the Melbourne metro area, and in addition to a phone allowance, all toll costs incurred for business-related travel are reimbursed.
